Mr. Holger Schmidt is a Colonel in the Bavarian Police. Since 2024, he has served as the Deputy Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Munich. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Police Management from the German Police University (DHPol) and has been a police officer since 1992. He previously served as a senior consultant at the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior. He founded and headed the “Center for Deradicalization” at the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA). From 2019 to 2022, he was the Head of the Munich Police Department for Organized Theft and Vehicle Crime.
