Nadya Dimitrova is a long-standing expert in the field of migration and integration. Between 2002 and 2012, she served as the representative of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in Bulgaria, and since 2013, she has held the position of Senior Advisor for Europe to the Director General of the Centre (ICMPD). She was the Director of the International Cooperation and European Integration Directorate at the Ministry of Interior from 1997 to 2001. From 2000 to 2001, she was also a member of the core government negotiating team for Bulgaria’s accession to the EU, responsible for negotiations on the “Justice and Home Affairs” chapter. Ms. Dimitrova holds a Master’s degree in Social Sciences – English Philology.
